Will the color work for me?
Every computer monitor will display color samples differently. If exact color is important to you, we offer samples in the mail so that you can see and feel exactly what you will be ordering. Because every order is custom made, blinds and shades may not be returned due to ordering the wrong color.
How long will it take to get samples?
Ordering samples is easy, and they typically arrive within 1 week.
Will I pay sales tax?
SierraForrest.com is based in California. We collect sales tax on all orders shipped to California addresses. Orders to all other states will not be charged a sales tax unless such taxes are imposed on Internet sales by law.
Can I return products and get refunds?
All Sierra Forrest products are custom-made to your specifications of size, color, material, and options. None of our products areˇ°off the shelfˇ±, and are not suitable for resale. For this reason most orders are non returnable or refundable. If you realize that you made an error in your order, contact us immediately. We will try to contact the manufacturer to correct your order before fabrication begins, but this is not guaranteed. Fabrication can begin in as little as 12 hours after you place your order.
Our website provides detailed and simple to follow instructions and advice in an effort to assist our customers in ordering the correct product with correct specifications, including measurements, color and materials, and options and upgrades. In addition, our customer service is available to help with any questions before, during, or after your order.

Sierra Forrest only sells our own brand of high quality window coverings and bamboo products. The quality of our products is comparable to the top name brands and we guarantee it.

Sierra Forrest ships only to the continental 48 United States and Canada. We DO NOT ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or other International addresses. If you place an order to an address outside of our shipping range, we will send you an email stating that you card was not charged and that your order was not processed.
Due to shipping restraints and manufacturer warranties, we DO NOT ship blinds over 96 inches width.
Most custom orders are fabricated within 5 business days and require 5-7 business days to ship to your address. Total expected time from ordering to receiving the product is about 2 weeks.

Tips to Operate Your Blinds
To Tilt Slats: Pull the tilt cord to desired slat angle. Keep slats tilted open while raising and lowering blind.
To Raise Blinds: Pull cord downward until blind reaches desired height. Release cord and blind locks automatically.
To Lower Blinds: Gently pull cord toward center of blind until lock releases. Let cord slip slowly through your fingers until blind reaches desired height. Move cord toward outside of blind and release. Blind will lock automatically.
Aligning Blinds: After installing the blind, tilt it open, then raise and lower it several times. This will allow the cords and slats to align themselves.
Removing Blinds: Remove valance then raise blind to top and lock. Open both bracket door latches and pull the blind out.
Tips to Clean Your Blinds
Like any piece of furniture, dust your blinds regularly. Use an ordinary soft, clean cloth, chemically- treated dust cloth, dusting mitt, vacuum cleaner with brush attachment or cylindrical dust brushes especially designed for blinds.
The paint surface of the slats is smooth and dust is easily brushed off, when dusted during regular cleaning. Lower the blind to its full length, then tilt the slats almost fully closed and dust. Then do the reverse side of the slats in the same manner. In order to reach the dust where the slats overlap, it is best not to fully close the blind in either position.
Tips to Repair Your Blinds
Blinds are one of the most practical and long-lasting window treatments around, but they can develop problems. When the cords break or the tapes look frayed and shabby, you can give your blinds new life by installing replacement cords and tapes, often sold in kits. Please contact us for more information.

INSIDE MOUNT:
For windows with 1"or more of depth an inside mount is recommended.
Measure inside width of window opening at the top, center, and bottom opening to the nearest eight of an inch (1/8"). Submit us with narrowest measurement. Factory will make all necessary deductions for inside mount.
Measure inside height in 3 places left, center and right to the nearest eight of an inch (1/8"). Submit us with the longest measurement. No deductions will be made from height by the factory.
OUTSIDE MOUNT:
For windows with less than 1"of depth an outside mount is recommended.
Measure width of window opening. Add sufficient overlap to satisfy design considerations. Submit finished shade width. Factory will make no allowances.
Measure height of window opening. Add sufficient overlap to satisfy design considerations, and to allow for installation brackets. Submit finished shades height. Factory will make no allowances.
